Intervju Međunarodne komisije za ljudska prava sa Marinom Ševkušić: „Ženski lideri govore“

Marina Ševkušić, savjetnik ministra za ljudska prava i izbjeglice BiH razgovarala je sa ambasadorom pri Međunarodnoj komisiji za ljudska prava dr. Muhammad Shahid A. Khan-om.

Intervju prenosimo u cjelosti na engleskom jeziku radi vjernijeg prenošenja pojmova iz domena osnaživanja žena i ljudskih prava.

What are your greatest strengths?

Marina: My greatest strengths is to when I’m able to change something in the field of Gender equality and prove that women are as good leaders just like man.

What do you consider to be your weaknesses?

Marina: My weakness is to see vuneranble categories of population such as women and children.

What is your greatest professional achievement?

Marina: My greatest achievement is to be Counselor of minister of Human Rights and Refugees BiH and to be member Youth advisory body of UNFPA and member of number of Commissions within Gender equality Agency of BiH.

Challenge or conflict you’ve faced at carrier, and how you dealt with it?

Marina: Many challenges were related to the fact that I’m a women, but I put all my efforts and knowledge to prove that some comments were wrong. So I deal with it only with my inner strenght and knowledge.

What are your inspiration?

Marina: My greatest inspiration is, first of all my familly and friends and then hunger to learn and help all people in needed.

How do you prioritize your work?

Marina: I prioritize my work because I think I do much good things for the world and my surrounding.

What are you passionate about?

I’m passioned about human rights especially women and children.

What makes you unique to inspired other female to follow you?

Marina: I think that maybe my strenght and positive energy ispires them to follow me.

Your view on Gender Equality?

Marina: Regarding this issues, I think that is the great role of youth in the field of gender equality and those youth needs to be animated and introduced to activities conducted in Bosnia and also I think that institutions must give stronger support to this issue.

Is education is vital tool for women improwement?

Marina: Yes, education is vital tool for women improvrment, just like I said before, they need to be animated and well educated about this issue.

Where do you see yourself in five to ten years?

Marina: I see myself in some organizational manager position where I will be able, even more to do good things in the field of justice.

What will be your message for the young girls?

Marina: My message to young girls is to be yourself, to fight for everything what makes them happy, to prove that they also can be well educated, beautiful, have great role in family life and to put all efforts not to be marginalized in society and put aside they values.
